MUSEO DE ZAMORA

This museum offers a rich archaeological collection, including a pre-Roman treasure trove of jewellery, in a captivating historical setting.
The Zamora Museum, located in one of the most picturesque corners of the old town—the Palacio del Cordón in Plaza de Santa Lucía—and featuring an interesting expansion by architects Tuñón and Mansilla, houses an important archaeological section covering the province’s history from the Paleolithic to the Modern Age. A highlight is the so-called Treasure of Arrabalde, a spectacular pre-Roman collection of gold and silver jewelry.
