SANTA CATERINA MARKET
Inaugurated in 2005, the remodeling of the Santa Caterina Market, designed by Enric Miralles and Benedetta Tagliabue, modernized the space while respecting its neoclassical facades. The result is a vibrant and multicolored space covered by a gigantic mantle. It features a distinctive ceramic mosaic roof inspired by the colors of fruits and vegetables. Founded in 1845, it was key in the post-war period as a supply center. Today, it stands out for the quality and variety of its products and its tranquil atmosphere, in the heart of the historic Sant Pere, Santa Caterina i la Ribera neighborhood.
