BELL TOWER "EL FADRÍ" AND CO-CATHEDRAL OF SANTA MARÍA

This iconic octagonal tower offers stunning views after a climb of 200 steps, while the nearby co-cathedral features Gothic architecture and priceless art.
El Fadrí is a free-standing octagonal tower 58 meters high with 200 steps, a symbol of Castellón. Its construction began in the 15th century and was completed in 1604. It is divided into four sections: clock chamber, ecclesiastical prison, bell ringer's residence, and bell chamber. The co-cathedral of Santa María, rebuilt after its demolition in 1936, preserves part of the original Gothic church from the 13th century. With a Latin cross plan with three naves and a pentagonal apse, it houses valuable works of art and relics of saints such as San Pascual Baylón and San Vicente Ferrer.
