KINGDOM OF LEON INTERPRETATION CENTRE

Explore a historical journey through the ancient kingdom's legacy, featuring interactive exhibits that highlight its cultural and legislative significance.
The Palacio Conde Luna houses the León Kingdom Interpretation Center, a journey through the history of the ancient kingdom since the year 910, distributed across eight rooms with didactic, educational, and interactive routes involving the visitor. The imprint left by the Kingdom of León throughout history is difficult to measure. It served as the territorial base for the kingdoms of Castile and Portugal, was a cultural benchmark, and legislatively pioneering, setting guidelines followed in the future. Alfonso IX issued the first known declaration of rights in the Western world. The legislative work of the Kingdom of León contributed significantly to the development of Democracy as we understand it today.
