SIERRA-PAMBLEY HOUSE MUSEUM

SIERRA-PAMBLEY HOUSE MUSEUM

Experience 19th-century domestic life with preserved furnishings and historic silverware in a beautifully decorated house showcasing early European styles.
A portrait of the domestic life of an enlightened 19th-century family and the pedagogical function of the Sierra-Pambley Foundation forms part of its dual objective. The house, located in the cathedral square, was built in the 1840s by Segundo Sierra-Pambley and preserves all the furnishings and equipment, including some of the oldest pieces of civil silverware in the area. The décor, belonging to early historicism, reveals the early introduction of European fashions, mainly French and to a lesser extent, English.
