HUERTA DE GUADIÁN AND ROMANESQUE INFORMATION POINT

This public park features a historic Romanesque church, relocated stone by stone, offering insights into Romanesque architecture and local history for visitors.
Used in 1870 as a municipal garden and nursery, it was remodeled at the beginning of the century and adapted for its current use as a public park. Inside is the Romanesque Church of San Juan Bautista, which houses the Romanesque Information Center. The church was originally built in Villanueva del Río in the north of the province and was moved stone by stone in the 1970s to its current location during the construction of the Aguilar reservoir.
