PLAZA DEL VIEJO COSO

PLAZA DEL VIEJO COSO

This charming, octagonal square offers a tranquil escape, showcasing unique architecture and a rich history, perfect for leisurely exploration and relaxation.
A secluded and pleasant place, one of the most curious and beautiful squares in the city, where time and the rhythm of urban life seem to stand still. It is located near the Plaza de Fabio Nelli, where the houses of the Count of Salinas once stood, which, once demolished, gave rise to the old bullring, built in 1833. It was later a Civil Guard barracks. In the 1980s, it was rehabilitated for residential use; an intervention that maintained its peculiar octagonal layout and essence, transforming boxes into balconies that adopted the shape of 'corralas' on the upper floors.
