GIBRALFARO CASTLE

GIBRALFARO CASTLE

This historic fortress offers stunning panoramic views of the city and the Costa del Sol, making it a must-visit for tourists seeking breathtaking scenery.
The Gibralfaro Castle is one of Málaga's landmarks. Built on a hill by the sea, it gets its name from a lighthouse that was at its peak (Jabal-Faruk - Lighthouse Hill). Although with Phoenician and Roman origins, it was the Nasrid king Yusuf I who transformed it into the current fortress in 1340. From its walls, you can enjoy spectacular panoramic views not only of the city but also, on clear days, of the entire Costa del Sol.
