MUSEUM OF MALAGA

Housed in a stunning neoclassical building, this museum features over 15,000 archaeological artifacts and 2,000 art pieces, showcasing rich cultural heritage.
Created in 1972 by merging the old Provincial Museum of Fine Arts and the Provincial Archaeological Museum, the Museum of Málaga has been located since 2016 in the sumptuous neoclassical building of the Customs Palace, being one of the five museums with the largest number of pieces in Spain. It has been gathering outstanding provincial collections of Archaeology and Fine Arts since the late 19th century. Currently, more than 15,000 archaeological pieces and more than two thousand works of art can be found.
