ALBACETE

8. CONGRESSES
A unique place that pays homage to botanists, with collections of exotic flora, experimental rose garden and recreations of local wetlands.
The design includes historic gardens that pay tribute to distinguished Manchegan botanists from the Middle Ages to the 20th century. Collections of species are systematically arranged according to their relationships. In the exhibition greenhouse, visitors can find more than 300 species of exotic tropical flora. Next to the greenhouse, an experimental rose garden surprises visitors, and along the 40th parallel, woody species from Asia, America, and Europe are displayed. To the west of the garden, the wetlands of the Manchegan region are recreated, including the Tablas de Daimiel, Lagunas de Ruidera, and the vegetation of saline wetlands.
