TEATRO CIRCO

This iconic venue blends classical theatre with circus elements, hosting an annual International Circus Festival and showcasing unique Neo-Mudejar architecture.
The Teatro Circo of Albacete is one of the most iconic venues in the city and the main headquarters of the International Circus Festival. This unique place, with its fusion of classical theatre and circus ring, is the stage where the magic of the circus comes to life each year. It was inaugurated in 1887 and remained in full use until 1985. After being purchased by the City Council of Albacete, restoration works were carried out, and it was reopened in 2002. It is one of the few remaining circus theatres in Europe. Its architecture is a blend of Neo-Mudejar and classical styles, preserving the original iron structure inside. The building is divided into the stalls, main hall, and amphitheatre.
