Albacete is a city to discover, and in addition to the friendliness and hospitality of its people, you can enjoy an interesting heritage through comfortable walks along its lively streets and numerous green areas. Using Plaza del Altozano as a reference, with its sculpture of the Cuchillero and its Local Museum, strolling through its central shopping streets you can discover beautiful buildings and corners such as the Pasaje Lodares, a unique modernist passage, the 15th-century Posada del Rosario, the neoclassical Chalet de Fontecha, the Gothic-Renaissance Cathedral, the neoclassical Casa del Hortelano which houses the Museum of Cutlery, the Cultural Center La Asunción - a former Renaissance convent, the Palace of the Provincial Council, the Teatro Circo, or the modernist old Flour Factory. It is essential to walk through the "Jardinillos" park, contemplating on one side the Bullring – "La chata" – and in front the building of the Fairgrounds with its modernist bandstand. You should also not miss the Albacete Museum with its important archaeological collections, which can be accessed through the beautiful Abelardo Sánchez park, continuing up Avenida de España and ending at the Botanical Garden.
