THE LOVERS' CLUB

This striking rock formation, resembling a reclining face, offers a romantic legend of doomed love, making it a captivating destination for tourists.
A natural rock formation rising in the Antequera plain, it has a unique morphology that resembles the profile of a reclining face looking at the sky. Its name comes from a legend about the impossible love of two young people. Tazgona, the daughter of the governor of Archidona, and Tello, a Christian boy, fell in love and kept their relationship secret. When discovered, he was captured and sentenced to death, but she managed to free him. They fled, hiding in La Peña de los Enamorados, but seeing the guards approaching, they sealed their love forever by jumping into the void.
