Antequera boasts one of the most beautiful and impressive karst landscapes in Europe, a place where erosion has shaped the rocks into a museum of natural sculptures, where you can also take beautiful walks along its trails and trace ancient cultures. It is predominantly made up of limestones that originated on the seabed during the Jurassic period, over 150 million years ago. The materials deposited in the sea emerged to the surface as a result of the Alpine orogeny.
